We have been working with "a spirit of unity among ourselves" (Romans 15:5) to become more purposeful in our ministry. If you would like more information on the Women's Ministries or how to be involved, please contact any of the following women: Deb Olson, Jean Storer, Carolyn Posey, or Priscilla Durham.
OUR MISSION
"Knowing God and making Him known ... by equipping women for life, ministry and mission."
OUR VISION FOR WOMEN AT FEFC
To see women experience a sense of acceptance and belonging
To see women equipped toward spiritual growth
To see spiritually mature women serving in the areas of their spiritual gifts in the church, in the community and around the world
PRAYER REQUEST BOX
There is a prayer request box at the women's ministries table. Our women's ministries leadership team would love to uphold you in prayer in any way that we can. If you have a need you desire someone to pray about, please fill out a request card and put it in the available box. This box will be checked once a week and you will be prayed for every Tuesday by our leadership team.
If you desire to be contacted, please indicate that on the card and someone will contact you. All requests will be kept confidential.
WOMEN SERIOUS ABOUT THEOLOGY (WSAT)
Don’t be intimidated by the dreaded T-word! It simply means to know your God, your Creator and your Redeemer! Please come join a small group of Women Serious About Theology (WSAT), once a month on the second Friday of the month, at 6:15 AM (that’s right - AM!) at church. We will be using Wayne Grudem’s book Bible Doctrine. We begin promptly at 6:15, and end promptly at 7:15. Only coffee will be provided.
"Real theologians are those whose hearts are captivated by God himself, who cling to the truth in life, who humbly kneel to adore him, and whose lives are transformed by what they have learned. Theology makes a difference in all of us." (When Life and Beliefs Collide by Carolyn Custis James).

WOMEN'S UPCOMING WINTER BIBLE STUDIES BEGINNING JANUARY 2009:
Thursday morning at 9:00 am: - 11:15 AM
"Seeking Him" written by Nancy Leigh DeMoss. Do you sometimes feel as if you're just going through the motions of the Christian life? Are you tired of trying to be a good Christian? Do you often find yourself running on empty spiritually? Do you experience heaviness or shame more than joy and freedom in your Christian life? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then perhaps God is calling you to something deeper. "Seeking Him" is an interactive study designed to lead you into a revived relationship with our loving heavenly Father. God wants to reveal Himself to you; He wants to fill your heart with Himself; He wants to set you free from every unholy passion; He wants you to drink deeply of the joys found in His presence; He wants your service for Him to be th eoverflow of genuine love and an authentic life; He wants you to be a reflector of His glory in our dark world. He wants you - and His entire church - to be revived! This study begins on January 8th.
Isaiah: "The Lord Saves" (Part 2) written by Kathleen Nielson. Isaiah could have easily prophesied in our day. His purpose was to call the covenant community back to faithfully obeying the God who had redeemed them. We need this word today. Throughout the study of Isaiah you will find treasure full of the holiness of God. Holiness that requires just and righteous p;unishment. But, also holiness that is true to His covenant, providing a Savior for His people. God promises comfort, deliverance, and restoration through the faithful Prince of Peace. Our Savior first came as a servant who took away our sins. Come join us for Part Two of Isaiah (completion of Part One not required) which involves study of chapters 40-66 and contains the amazing presentation of Christ the Savior who God sent for His people because there was no other hope. Through small group discussion, large group lecture, and occasional large group question/answer session, we will discover what it truly means to be in covenant with our Almighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, whose government will have no end. This study begins January 22nd.

MENTORING
Older women are to be reverent in their behavior…that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, subject to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be dishonored.
Titus 2:3-5
If you are a woman who has expressed the need to have a closer relationship with another Christian woman, the Titus 2 Women Mentoring Ministry is just for you. Titus 2 WMM is designed for two women to meet together to share their Christian walk.
This past year, seven pairs of women were involved in such a relationship. Some women completed a Bible study or discussed a Christian book. Others met for coffee and prayer as they held each other accountable to following God’s Word. Some women even just baked cookies together. None of these women were experts on walking the Christian life, but all women grew in the Lord as they developed a closer connection with Him and with each other.
A mentoring relationship is flexible and able to meet each woman’s specific needs and schedule. If you would like to be matched into a mentoring relationship, or if you would like more information about the Titus 2 Women Mentoring Ministry, please call the church for more information.
