NOTICE: THE 2-3'S CHILDREN'S CHURCH WILL BE CLOSING NOVEMBER 30 UNTIL ENOUGH VOLUNTEERS HAVE SIGNED-UP TO FILL THE SCHEDULE FOR THE NEXT QUARTER (DEC-FEB). Each volunteer will only have to work once during each quarter if we have enough sign-up.  We have been running short on a weekly basis for volunteers and need to have at least 4 volunteers weekly. If you are interested, please see the sign-up sheet located on the ministries table in the foyer.

Notice to parents: The offering for Children's Sunday School will be for Samaritan's Purse. Each class will keep its offering separate and give one or more of the following: Bible lessons for children; milk; Gospel story books; a brood of chicks; livestock; dairy animals. We will continue with this project until December 21, 2008.

There is a box in the foyer to collect any donations you might have for Military and College Care packages. Items sent in the past include gum, pens/pencils, hot chocolate mix, sticky notes, money for pop, and small toys. The boxes will be sent off after Thanksgiving.

No Room at the Inn- On December 6 from 6-8 pm, Habitat for Humanity will be holding its signature "No Room at the Inn" Gala event at the Trail Ridge Retirement Center Great Hall. Nativities from local celebrities and citizens will be displayed, with the owners sharing holiday memories. Enjoy local musicians and hors d'oeuvres while shopping a silent auction and vendor booths. An Open House is also held December 7 form 1-4 pm. All proceeds from the events go toward helping those in need of affordable housing. To display your Nativity, purchase tickets or ask questions, please contact Julie Hall at 362-8757 or the Habitat for Humanity office at 339-6406.

Next weekend is the Christmas program.  We invite you to come at 5:30 pm Sunday, December 7, whether you have children in the program or not.  You will be blessed as we worship Jesus, the Savior of the world.  A few notes for those involved:
1) Dress rehearsal is on Saturday morning Dec 6, 9-11 am.  A change...those in costume do not need to come at 8:30 am.  We will practice without costumes.
2)  Every family in the program is asked to bring two dozen cookies for the program.  Please bring them to the kitchen on either Saturday or Sunday morning.
3) The children will be singing one of their songs for both services Sunday morning (Dec 7).  We'd like as many kids as possible to sing for both services.  Please have them meet in the old sanctuary at 7:45 am, then again in the hallway by the library at 10:30 am that morning.

Friday, February 6 is the youth valentine fundraiser.  Reservations will be taken beginning in January.

Adult choir will rehearse Sunday, Nov. 30 at 5:00 pm to prepare for a performance Sunday morning Dec. 14.  All singers are welcome.

Words cannot express our gratitude to our church family for all the love and support shown to us these last couple of weeks with the passing of my mother.  A special thank you for the meals, beautiful plant, cards and many prayers that were said for us and also my mom in her last days.  God Almighty did miraculous things because of all the prayers and for that we will be eternally grateful to all of you.         Craig & Chris Herman
